Aadhaar card is a required document. It is accepted in all places as ID proof. But the authority looking at services linked to the Aadhaar card (UIDAI) says not all 12-digit numbers are Aadhaar numbers. That means UIDAI allows you to verify any type of Aadhaar number. The process is very simple and you do not have to pay any charge for it.

There is a need for vigilance

Support Verification Process

    First go to www.uidai.gov.in,

Click on 'Verify Aadhaar Number' in the 'Aadhaar Services' section in the 'My Aadhaar' segment.

Enter your Aadhaar number and given security code on the newly opened page and click on 'Verify'

Then the 12 digit Aadhaar number that you have entered is the same and if not deactivated then your Aadhaar number will appear on the status website as existing and operational.

This will let you know if the Aadhaar number you entered is an Aadhaar number

You can also do verification through mAadhar App.

The Aadhaar card has a quick response code that can be used for verification.

For this, open 'QR Code Scanner' in the mobile app mAadhar and scan the tax code.

Then, the Aadhaar card holder information will be displayed on the screen

Appropriate information is available on the UIDAI site
