The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that the Common Entrance Test will not be conducted for admission in Central University this year. The Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) can be applied for the academic year 2022-23, the commission said.

The decision was made because of the Corona epidemic

Informing about this, UGC shared the post on its social media account and said that due to the Koro epidemic, the admission process in the central university during academic 2021-22 will be the same as last year. The Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) can be applied from the upcoming academic session 2022-23.

CUCET was proposed in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. In December 2020, the Union Ministry of Education constituted a seven-member committee to recommend the methods of Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for admission in graduate courses in Central Universities as per NEP, 2020.
