 State Bank of India postpones clerk main exam on July 31, does not announce new exam date


State Bank of India (SBI) has postponed the Clerk Main Exam 2021 till further orders. The exam was to be held across the country on July 31. The bank has not yet given any information about the new date of the exam. Candidates can visit the official website sbi.co.in for more information.


The prelims exam was held from 10 to 13 July

Earlier, the bank had conducted prelims examination for clerk (junior associate) from July 10 to July 13 in various cities of the country. The result of the prelims examination will be announced soon. Only candidates who have qualified for the Prelims Exam will be able to appear in the Main Exam.


Recruitment was issued for more than 5000 posts

The SBI started the application process on April 27 for the recruitment of more than 5,000 posts of Junior Associates. Candidates have to qualify in all the three stages (Prelims, Main and Interview) to get a place in the merit list. The selected candidates will be appointed at various branches of the bank across the country.

Exam pattern

The SBI Clerk Main Exam asks 190 Multiple Choice Questions. Candidates are given two hours and twenty-four minutes to answer these questions. Examination is required from General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability from Computer Aptitude section.
