New schedule for May session exam announced, Entrance exam to be taken from 26th August to 2nd September


    Keeping a gap of four weeks between the third and fourth phase examinations in view of the demand of the candidates and their good performance.


The National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the date of the fourth phase of Engineering Exam JEE Main 2021. According to the revised schedule, the May session exams will now be held on August 26, 27, 31 and September 1, 2. The exam was earlier scheduled to be held from July 27 to August 2.

Informing about this, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that keeping in view the demand of the candidates and their good performance, the National Testing Agency has advised to keep a gap of four weeks between the third and fourth phase exams of JEE Main. After that the exam will now be taken in August-September.


Also extended the deadline to apply

Announcing the new schedule of the examination, the Union Minister said that the application process for the fourth phase of the examination is underway, which has been extended to July 20. A total of 7.32 lakh students have registered for the exam.


Earlier, the NTA also changed the exam for the third session

According to the schedule announced earlier by the agency, the entrance exam was to be held from July 20 to July 25. But now according to the new schedule, this exam will be held on 20, 22, 25 and 27 July 2021. The agency has issued admit cards for the exam. Admit cards will not be sent to the candidates in the post this time. Candidates will be able to download the admit card online only.

7,09,519 candidates registered

As per the report, a total of 7,09,519 candidates have registered for the third session of JEE Main 2021. A total of 334 exam centers have been set up in the country and abroad for this examination. The exam of the third session will be taken only for Paper-1 B.E./B.Tech.
