After a long wait, Ola has started booking her electric scooter from today. Customers can now book it by going to olaelectric.com. You have to pay Rs 499 for booking. The company's CEO Bhavish Agarwal has given this information on social media.


Ola Electric has set up the world's largest electric two-wheeler plant in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Where Ola will build 2 million electric scooters annually to supply markets in Asia, Europe and South America without local demand.

The price of Ola's e-scooter will rival existing e-bikes like Athar Energy (Rs 1.39 lakh) and Bajaj Auto's Chetak (Rs 1 lakh) as the company seeks to dominate India's emerging electric two-wheeler segment. The report also suggests that Ola plans to sell 10 lakh e-scooters in its first year.

    Ola's electric scooter will run 150 km on a single charge. Its top speed will be 90 km per hour. This electric scooter will come with a home charger. Customers will be able to charge this scooter from a regular wall socket. The company is also planning to set up a large electric charging network so that electric vehicle customers across the country have no trouble charging. In the first year Ola will set 5000 charging points in 100 cities.
